Helping Local (Denver Metro Area) Families in Need this Christmas

...we will celebrate a collective effort to meet individual needs (basic and complex) so that they can get 'unstuck' and move forward to meet their calling down to the finest detail.
Basically, we are celebrating people and paying gratitude for their efforts and existence on our planet... both givers and receivers. One of our favorite bible verses and building blocks of GratiGive is Proverbs 11:25: The generous will prosper: those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.
We have been working alongside Denver Dream Center and we've uncovered some immediate clothing (and a few toy) needs for families this holiday season. Since we are brand new (never mind the fact that we've owned this domain and had this website waiting for action for nearly a year) there isn't a lot of content. We invite you to learn more about Denver Dream Center (DDC) and the people they impact at their website, www.denverdreamcenter.org. One of our favorite things about Denver Dream Center is their focus on hope. Pastor Bryan always quotes Proverbs 13:12: Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life.
Yesterday, we spent time typing up all of the needs requests that had come in from various families and realized that there is a massive amount of need for clothing items and not a lot of time to get things organized.
As our first (and not so elegant) call to action we are putting together a list of the current needs and asking anyone who feels called to fulfill and/or pray for these families who are facing difficult times this holiday season. Donated items don't need to be brand new, but there should be some life left in them.
Since GratiGive is new and our audience reach is limited we are taking on 10 families at a time. Once we've fulfilled each request we'll continue to add others.
